Event: Mariel Hemingway at the U-District Farmers Market, June 6

From Cascade Harvest Coalition

Actress and Cookbook Author Mariel Hemingway will be at the University District Farmers Market on June 6!

As the granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, Mariel Hemingway was destined to be in the public eye. But at just 13 years old, Mariel became famous in her own right as she made a feature film debut in “Lipstick.” Four years later, she earned an Oscar nomination for her role in Woody Allen’s film “Manhattan.” Mariel is an actress, model, yoga instructor, mother of two teenage girls, and one of the leading voices for holistic and balanced living. She is the author of Mariel’s Kitchen and Mariel Hemingway’s Healthy Living from the Inside Out.

Please join us on Saturday, June 6 at the University District Farmers Market to watch Mariel live and in person as she demos recipes from her recently published cookbook; Mariel’s Kitchen. The cooking demo starts at 9:30 am and will last one hour. As with all market demos, this event is free and open to the public. Copies of Mariel’s cookbook will be available for purchase. Mariel is delighted to be able to visit Seattle’s largest farmers & food-only market, and to have an opportunity to cook with fresh ingredients from our local farmers.
